Places to Travel in 2022 and Their Requirements

As COVID numbers are dropping, many countries are also ditching their restrictions for entry. And because travel is at the top of the list of many who are seeking a return to normalcy, Haute Green Tea has provided a list of the best places to travel this year and their COVID-related requirements—or lack there of.

(International travelers still need their normal prerequisites.)

Aruba: No COVID requirements.

Arizona: Guidance has since been transitioned from requirements to recommendations. All travelers, domestic and international, can refer to CDC requirements in regards to mask and social distancing mandates.

Bahamas: Unvaccinated travelers over the age of 12 must show a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Belize: Unvaccinated travelers must show a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival, or a negative antigen test taken in the 48 hours before arrival.

California: No travel requirements or restrictions.

Canada: It is required for all travelers to be fully vaccinated, to which they would then be exempt from quarantine and testing.

Costa Rica: Eliminated the final health pass and travel insurance requirement for vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors.

Dominican Republic: Unvaccinated travelers may be subject to random tests, which you can skip if you’re vaccinated, but all are able to travel with zero entry requirements.

France: Unvaccinated travelers over 12 years of age are required to have a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel, or a negative antigen test within 48 hours of travel in order to enter.

Greece From May-September, Greece has suspended all COVID-related requirements for all travelers.

Jamaica As of April 16, Jamaica removed all testing requirements and mask mandates.

The Maldives Revoked its public health emergency on March 13, granting free entry.

Mexico Has had no restrictions for much of the pandemic, but travelers may encounter health checks, including temperature checks and COVID testing, upon arrival.

Nevada: While the state no longer requires masks in public places, there are locations where people may still be asked to wear a mask.

New York: As of June 25, 2021, the New York State Travel Advisory is no longer in effect. As such, travelers arriving in New York are no longer required to submit traveler health forms. All travelers, domestic and international, can refer to CDC requirements in regards to mask and social distancing mandates.

South Africa: Travelers must show proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure and may be screened on arrival.

Spain: Unvaccinated adult travelers are welcome with proof of a negative PCR tests taken within 72 hours of travel, or a negative antigen tests taken within 24 hours of travel.

Sweden The ban on international travelers was lifted April 1.

United Kingdom Scrapped its last remaining pandemic rules for international travel on March 18.
