With this year’s theme being “gilded glamour” and a dress code that called for white tie to assist in the two-part exhibit “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, many attendees sought after “old money” ensembles, while others reinterpreted the theme to “new money”. This year’s carpet saw plenty of gold (a literal interpretation of the ‘gilded’ theme), corsets and opera gloves. Below, a look at the best of the 2022 Met Gala.
Taylor Williams, a Buffalo native, is a passionate individual with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications and minors in Sociology.
